For this Ilford security front door project in East London, the client was keen to move beyond the familiar black-and-white front door palette and introduce a more distinctive yet considered finish. The brief was to create bespoke security doors that would stand out while remaining balanced and architectural in execution.
The door was finished in a muted blue tone, selected to offset the surrounding brickwork and stone detailing without overpowering the elevation. The colour brings subtle contrast and individuality to this front door in Ilford, allowing it to read as a design feature rather than a background element.
At the centre of the composition sits a circular panel design with refined beading, carefully proportioned to draw focus to the entrance and establish a clear visual hierarchy. This geometry gives the door depth and presence, ensuring the entrance feels intentional and well resolved.
The design is complemented by frosted glass side panels, which introduce natural light while maintaining privacy. As standard, the glazing is specified to P5A security grade, ensuring the side panels deliver the same level of protection as the door itself and perform as part of a fully secure entrance system.
The completed security doors for this East London property demonstrate how thoughtful colour selection, combined with bespoke detailing and engineered security, can redefine an entrance and confidently break away from convention.
