Some projects begin not with a technical drawing, but with a vision. Our client, an accomplished interior designer in Radlett, Hertfordshire, came to us with a bold idea for her home: a front door unlike anything seen before. More than an entrance, she wanted a true centrepiece, a statement that reflected her creativity and individuality. She sketched her vision by hand, and from that moment, our role was clear: to turn this extraordinary design into reality.
Working in close collaboration, our engineering team translated her drawings into a workable design, balancing artistry with the strength and precision required for a door of this scale. At two metres wide, the door demanded exceptional craftsmanship and careful consideration of mechanics. To personalise the design further, the client sourced a unique centrepiece detail, ensuring the finished pivot door was not just bespoke, but entirely her own creation.
The result is breathtaking. The monumental scale is enhanced by the door’s striking pivot mechanism, which allows it to swing open with remarkable ease.
