This security front door project in Putney, Wandsworth, moves away from the typical black-and-white entrance, introducing a more considered and coordinated approach to colour. The brief was to design a bespoke double security door with side and top panels that would stand out while remaining fully aligned with the property’s overall aesthetic.
The client selected RAL 7034, a muted, earthy tone that works naturally against the red brick façade. Rather than contrasting sharply, the colour complements the surrounding materials and closely matches the window frames, creating a cohesive and well-resolved elevation.
The front door features a circular design, bringing structure and focus to the centre of the composition. This geometry adds depth across both leaves, ensuring the entrance feels balanced and intentional within the wider façade.
To complete the design, polished brass ironmongery was introduced. The warm metallic finish sits comfortably against the RAL 7034 tone, adding a layer of refinement while reinforcing the overall colour palette.
Beyond its visual impact, the entrance is built as a fully engineered high-security door system, combining robust construction with modern locking for long-term performance and protection.
The result is an entrance that feels distinctive yet integrated, demonstrating how thoughtful colour selection and detailing can move beyond convention while maintaining architectural harmony.
